This
Hubble observation gave astronomers the evidence they needed
to prove that a massive black hole lives in the center of M87,
a giant galaxy located 50 million light-years away in the constellation
Virgo. If it's not a black hole – an object so massive that
nothing escapes its intense gravitational pull, including light
– then it's something even harder to understand, astronomers
say.
