To
fully appreciate this Hubble image, imagine peeking through
a keyhole and seeing this wild menagerie of galaxies in the
sky, some so old that they probably formed shortly after the
beginning of the universe. Called the Hubble "Deep Field," the
observation covers a speck-sized spot in the sky, yet contains
at least 1,500 galaxies at various stages of evolution.
