As a spinning, collapsing cloud enters the final phase before
becoming a full-fledged star, violent things happen. Here
we see a spectacular jet of high-speed gas shooting out
the pole of a forming star.
The
arrow shows the direction of a high-speed jet shooting from
the forming star, which is located in the dark gas cloud in
the upper left corner of the image.
