The General Assembly of the International Astronomical Union (IAU), meeting in Prague, Czech Republic, has named Dr. Robert Williams, Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI), as its President-Elect. He will become IAU President in 2009. Dr. Williams served as STScI director from 1993 until 1998.
