Hubble Images Become Tactile 3-D Experience for the Blind

Printing Hubble imagery in 3-D is not a turn-key operation. 3-D printers aren't designed to make the intricate curves that celestial objects all have. It took some out-of-the-box thinking for the STScI team to bring the universe to the visually impaired.
