Colors: This composite image includes exposures acquired by the WFC3 and ACS instruments on the Hubble Space Telescope. Several filters were used to sample broad wavelength ranges. The color results from assigning different hues (colors) to each monochromatic (grayscale) image associated with an individual filter. In this case, the assigned colors are:
ACS/WFC F435W (B) + WFC3 F438W (B) blue
ACS/WFC F555W (V) + WFC3 F555W (V) green
ACS/WFC F555W (V) + WFC3 F814W (I) red
ACS/WFCF658N (H-alpha) orange
