Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) staff and family members welcomed the STS-125 Hubble servicing mission 4 astronaut crew to Baltimore in July 2009. The astronauts shared photos and stories with STScI staff in celebration of the crew having successfully completed the refurbishment and upgrade of the Hubble Space Telescope in May 2009.

In its February 2012 issue, Baltimore Magazine cited STScI as one of the best places to work in metropolitan Baltimore.
